Run 4 (your) Charity

Foundation Run in the Sun/ KLM Curacao Marathon will support and raise money for Run 4 School. This year Run 4 School donates to "The Curacao Athletic Federation” and "Tur Mucha Mester Kome". Participants can donate upon registration. 

The Curacao Athletic Federation will use the money to Athletic weekend competitions for young Athletes in Curacao. 

The purpose of the campaign "Tur Mucha Mester Kome" is to ensure that there are no children who go to school hungry in the morning. All selected children should get to eat a balanced meal that includes all the vitamins and minerals needed for the healthy development of the child; three times a day; 365 days a year.To facilitate this project, the Curaçao International Financial Association (CIFA) has taken the initiative to provide relief as part of their social responsibility program and founded the foundation 'Tur Mucha Mester Kome'. The Foundation works with the school boards, guidance counselors and churches; all of which will make an inventory of the number of children eating less than three times a day, and that are suffering from hunger. Its cooking staff prepares healthy and tasty meals for these children; and its distribution staff makes sure the meals are delivered to the schools and to the children’s homes. By doing so, the Tur Mucha Mester Kome Foundation fights hunger and poverty, and supports education.

KLM Curacao & Ronald McDonald House
Students from the Radulphus College and the International School of Curaçao raised almost 7,500 guilders for the Ronald McDonald House during the 9th edition of the KLM Curaçao Marathon. Also this year during the 10th KLM Curacao Marathon there will be a Kids for Kids run for the Ronald McDonald House in Curacao. The Charities Curaçao Foundation of the Ronald McDonald House, together with KLM Curacao, created a 'KIDS FOR KIDS' run for charity. The charity creates and supports programs that directly impact the health and well-being of children and their families. With their core Ronald McDonald Family Room program, they have had a positive impact on the lives of more than fourteen thousand families with sick children to date.The group of students from the Radulphus College and the International School of Curaçao participated in the five km race as a team 'KIDS FOR KIDS'. Each runner was asked to look for sponsors who in turn financially supported a specific distance run. The goal was to raise awareness and money for the Ronald McDonald House charity fund in Curaçao. The participating students themselves raised almost 3,700 guilders, and KLM Curacao doubled the money raised to almost 7,500 guilders

OR Team up for charity! Raise awareness and get fit. Participants can also run for his or her charity. 
"Team up for charity! Raise awareness and get fit". Team up, with a minimum of 10 participants, for your own Charity.  From each of your "Charity" participants entree fee, we donate 5 NAFL to your cause. So Team up for Charity! The logo and name of your Charity will be mentioned in a newsletter and will be named on our website. Request your Team registration form by sending an email to 

Here are our some fundraising ideas:

5 KM run or walk a short distance which most people can achieve. A reasonable target to be set here is fl 150,-. Fundraising tip number 1 is to ask your 30 closest friends in person to sponsor you fl 5,- fl 1,- per km and explain to them how the money will help support your chosen charity.
10 KM run or walk A distance that again can be achieved by most people. A reasonable target to be set here is fl 300,-. Fundraising Tip number 2 is to Use social media such as Facebook to contact all of your friends and ask them to sponsor you. The average person has 120 friends on Facebook so ask for fl 5,- and all you need is 50% of your friends to sponsor you.
Half Marathons. You are now stepping into a serious distance and you need to consider this very carefully. You need to train hard and a reasonable target to be set here is fl 500,00 - fl 1000,- Fundraising Tip number 3 is to check with your boss to see if you receive match-giving. If so you have just halved your fundraising target.
Marathons. Completing a marathon is one of the most rewarding things you can do in your life and the self satisfaction will also come with a high fundraising target of fl 1500+ but don't be deterred by this as this is very much part of the achievement. Fundraising tip number 4 is to arrange a fundraising event and ask your friends and family to help.
